A beautiful antique five stone ring set with vibrant Australian opals and one replacement opal (far left) that is most likely Ethiopian as it has a slightly more varied patterning to the stone. The ring is unmarked but tests as 9 carat gold and has quite some age to it. The opals are packed full of colour and the ring looks beautiful when worn.
There are some small chips to the outer edges of the opal stones which can be seen in the pictures. The stones sit securely in their frames and the wear is only noticeable on very close inspection. The ring looks to have had one tiny prong welded over a stone at a later date in a different coloured metal. Despite the wear the ring looks absolutely fabulous when worn.
